ESCAPE is a short CG film about a woman caught in the cold ice cages and chains.A piece of  beautiful melody recovers the world. She escapes there and walks into nature, where she embraces her lover, the goddess of nature.

《ESCAPE》是一部CG短片,讲述了一个被困在冰冷的牢笼和锁链中的女人,在一段美妙的旋律中逃脱,进入自然,与她的爱人——自然女神相拥。

I have always been fascinated by non-linear narrative and impressionistic storytelling. In this particular piece, my focus was on CG and real-time animation, aiming to explore the expression of emotions and moods through virtual media and also sharpen my technical skills.

我一直对非线性和印象派叙事方式感兴趣。在这部作品中,我专注于CG和实时动画,旨在通过虚拟媒体探索情感和情绪的表达,同时提高我的技术水平。






The creative process presented numerous challenges. It was the first time I tried Unreal Engine 5, a system that was entirely new to me, demanding a considerable amount of time to get familiar with. Fortunately, Jordan Halsey's Unreal Engine class played a pivotal role in facilitating my understanding and improvement, providing me with a foundational knowledge of the system.

Collaborating with Harry on the stems growing animation was another significant aspect of this project. He ingeniously developed a tool in Cinema4D to generate dynamic animations of stems and leaves growing, contributing to the overall visual richness of the piece.

我与技术美术Harry合作制作茎叶生长动画是。他在Cinema4D中通过设计脚本开发了茎叶生成工具用于制作动态,导出的abc动态模型与我的环境结合以备后期渲染。

It was also my first attempt at using Houdini, primarily for integrating it into the Unreal Engine workflow. With guidance from Professor Jordan Halsey, I created several basic assets including terrain, water ripples, and merged Mixamo animations.

这也是我第一次使用Houdini,主要是将其用于UE5的工作流中。在Jordan的指导下,我创建了一些基础资产,包括地形、水波纹以及Mixamo绑定的修改。
