The Room of Nature
Projection Mapping
(WIP)

This projection mapping piece is designed to bring the beauty of nature into a living space. It creates a calming environment that reminds us of oceans, plants, butterflies, stones, and animals. After a long, tiring day, the piece offers a peaceful retreat, helping viewers relax and reconnect with the soothing elements of nature.
Through projection mapping, I blended virtual visuals with real space and objects.
Ocean waves ripple across a shell-shaped light and a record, fireworks explode over a lantern, and a jellyfish drifts inside a van.
A waterfall cascades down a closet, while butterflies flutter through leaves, pausing gently on a canvas.
Light particles dance like spirits among the plants, adding a sense of vitality, and tree rings slowly expand across blocks of wood, symbolizing the passage of time.
I also incorporated an AI workflow into this piece. The Kiss by Gustav Klimt is one of my favorite paintings, and I have a decorative version in my room. I wanted to see how it would come to life with movement and artistic animation. I tried out the StreamDiffusion plugin in TouchDesigner and mapped the animated painting onto the physical version in my space. The result brings the artwork to life, making it feel dynamic and vivid.
