E-Wasteland is a mixed-media experimental film. I'm telling how a modern person is wrapped in data in the electronic wasteland world, empty, indifferent, and at a loss, "no life or death, knowing nothing", she tried to communicate with the machine......Finally she went into nature to find answers, looking for primitive vitality and passionate belief, just as Eliot expressed at the end of The Waste Land: Only hope and faith can bring the wasteland back to life.

《电子荒原》是一部混合媒体实验电影，讲述一个现代人在电子荒原世界被数据包裹，空虚、冷漠、茫然，“没有生死，什么都不知道”，试图与机器沟通……最后她走进自然寻找答案，寻找原始的生命力和充满激情的信仰，正如艾略特在《荒原》结尾所表达的：唯有希望和信仰，才能让荒原重获生机。

I was deeply inspired by Eliot’s poem The Waste Land. The poem reminds me of the digital age in which I am now. Our lives are wrapped by data, bringing people a sense of loneliness, paralyzing people's actions and vulgarity. In the foreseeable future, digital technology is invading our lives at an even more violent speed and devouring our faith. What kind of world is that? Full of bones and dead wood, it is the collapsed London Bridge, the hell of Dante, the electronic wasteland of mental breakdown. What can we believe?

艾略特的诗作《荒原》给了我深刻的启发。这首诗让我想起了我们所处的数字时代。生活被数据包裹，带给人们孤独感，麻痹人们的行动，充斥着庸俗。在可预见的未来，数字技术正以更猛烈的速度侵入我们的生活，吞噬我们的信仰。那将是一个怎样的世界？充满白骨和枯木，是坍塌的伦敦桥，是但丁的地狱，是精神崩溃的电子荒原。我们还能相信什么？
